Air Handling Units

Air Handling Units (AHUs) are vital components of HVAC systems designed to condition and distribute air throughout a building. They perform multiple air treatment functions — including filtration, heating, cooling, humidification, and dehumidification — before circulating the conditioned air through ductwork.

AHUs are available in two main types:

• Chilled Water AHUs – connected to a central chiller for cooling.

• DX (Direct Expansion) AHUs – equipped with an integrated condensing unit for cooling.

Each unit typically includes fans, coils, filters, and heat recovery systems to ensure optimal indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and thermal comfort.
